1. Can someone understand the offer?

Show the piece to someone who does not already know your business. Ask what it offers and who it is for. Let them answer before you explain it. If the picture gets attention but the offer stays unclear, simplify the message and decide which information deserves the most space.

2. Does it carry your brand story?

Ask why these colours, images and words fit your business. “It looks modern” is not much of a reason. Look for a connection with your customers, your values and the promise you can deliver. If the design could advertise five competitors without changing anything but the logo, it needs more direction.

3. Is it easy to read where it will appear?

View the piece at its actual size, especially on a phone. Check the smallest text, the contrast and the order in which you notice things. Make sure the contact details and next step are clear. A beautiful full-screen preview is not enough if the real advert becomes a puzzle.

4. Is every detail correct?

Check names, dates, contact details, product information and every claim. Review images for distracting or misleading details. If an image is a concept rather than a photograph of your actual product or service, make sure the way you present it does not create the wrong expectation. You remain responsible for what your business publishes.

5. Does it belong with the rest of your marketing?

Place it beside your website, last three posts and a sales document. Do the same type, tone and visual choices carry through? Keep useful experiments, but avoid restarting your brand with every new prompt. If the pieces keep pulling in different directions, a designer can help build a clear system you can reuse.

Use the checks to choose your next step.
